This project was done as a part of my documentary course. The film observes the process of fishing and a fish processing unit on the banks of the Krishna river.
The process
-
The brief of this project was to document any process from start to finish. We decided to work around the life of people living on the banks of the Krishna River in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. We found a community of fishermen and a fish-processing unit that uses the river for their income. We tried to carefully observe the process but also bring a narrative of their daily life in the documentary. We named the film 'Pattina Chappa' in Telugu which means 'caught fish'.
