About the Project
-
The Project is a mix of research, decoding, and film-making. Starting with the intent to understand what film is, it led to more questions like what a narrative is, what a story is and how we can define communication. The project was treated with a fundamental genesis approach for the decoding part. Parallely, films were created for various brands, which were used as a learning tool and insights to continue the decoding. Once, an initial clarity was formulated for the questions, I started pre-production for the film I needed to create for the brand, which is also the manifestation of my entire process.

Details of Project
-
The project was started with an action design methodology. Not constructed or planned, kept the process flexible throughout the journey. The project can be divided into three phases—The structure, definition and trial. A combination of approaches was used throughout the phases.
Phase one used a combination of fundamental genesis examination approach along with system mapping to understand the root of practices and to bring out an initial structure.
Phase two was on-ground which used questionnaires, interviews, and experiential/participatory learning by making films to define the elements of the structure.
Phase Three was testing and drawing
insight by making a film to understand the workings of proposed systems.
